I’ve been gone for the weekend at a family wedding in Dallas and haven’t seen Josiah for two and a half days. This is how he greeted me.
Guess words aren’t always necessary!

When did he finally warm up to you? I assume he was being stubborn here and was upset because you all were gone? Can I ask who cares for Josiah when you and Rick are both gone? We are blessed to have our parents here but I think about the future and wonder what we will do……Looks like it was a lovely wedding – so glad you were able to enjoy the weekend 🙂 !!
He was completely indifferent! After a little while I got a smile and he let me get in close for some hugs, but he clearly was giving me the cold shoulder for leaving him. Josiah has a state waiver that provides for a caregiver to assist us with him. It just so happens we were richly blessed when we found the one we have now (and the ones we’ve had prior to now). Ashley is incredible and a true God send. She adores Josiah and he adores her. It would be impossible to think of leaving him even for a few short hours without having her in place. So grateful we were able to spend some fabulous time with family! You are very blessed to have such wonderful parents close by. Are you on a wavier waiting list for Chad?
Oh that’s wonderful – that gives you some much needed help/relief 🙂 No, we have never looked into that (sounds like we should have) !! Is that something you did as soon as Josiah was born? Gosh, I think we are 14 years behind the 8 ball !! I am so glad God has placed such wonderful caregivers with Josiah and your family 🙂
